Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the hosted Vowd service at vowd.site (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
2. The Service
Vowd is software for planning a wedding and keeping an online presence for that wedding: a public guest site, RSVP collection, a save the date page, party planning boards, and a shared photo gallery. We may change features over time. We do not promise that any particular feature will remain available.
3. Your account
One account owns one wedding site. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if these terms are broken or if we reasonably believe the Service is being misused.
4. Your content
Your names, photos, copy, guest list, and RSVP responses belong to you. By uploading them you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display them only as needed to run your wedding site (for example, showing a photo on your homepage or sending a reminder a guest is expecting). We do not sell your content. We do not use your photos to advertise Vowd unless you ask us to.
Optional AI features send the prompt or guest list you submit to a third-party AI provider so we can generate a video or propose households. Suggestions can be wrong; you review a guest-list import before it is saved. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing with that provider.
You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload, including photos of other people, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.
5. Your guests
When you upload a guest list you confirm you have a reasonable basis to contact those people about your wedding. You decide what your site collects and who receives reminder emails. Guests who submit photos through the guest camera are handing them to you; you can delete any photo from admin. Treat what guests share with the same care you would want for yourself.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Vowd to host unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; to harass anyone; to send bulk mail unrelated to your wedding; to probe or attack the Service; or to impersonate another person. We may take a site down without notice if it is used this way, and we may report illegal activity to authorities.
7. Trials, payment, and the Wedding Pass
New sites start on a free 14-day trial with the guest site fully live. We email you before the trial ends. If the trial expires without a Wedding Pass, the guest site goes offline. You can still sign in to pay. Nothing is deleted, and completing checkout brings the site back.
A Wedding Pass is a one-time payment for one wedding. After payment we keep that wedding's guest site hosted. Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We never receive your full card number. Fees are generally non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we agree in writing. If a charge looks wrong, email hello@vowd.site and we will look into it.
8. One pass, one wedding
A Wedding Pass covers the wedding you bought it for. Schedule and venue fields freeze 24 hours before ceremony start, and couple names freeze the day after. Photos, guests, RSVPs, and design stay editable. You may not resell or transfer a pass to another wedding or another person.
9. Availability
We work to keep sites up, especially on wedding days, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation, or that the Service will meet your particular needs. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Vowd and its owners, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost photos, business interruption, or replacement costs, even if we were told those losses were possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for your wedding site in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that limit is forbidden.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Vowd against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your content, your guests' use of your site, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused the harm.
12. Taking a site down
You can ask us to delete your wedding and its data at any time. Deletion is permanent. We may suspend or remove a site for non-payment, abuse, a legal requirement, or to protect the Service. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you first.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we will email the address on your account. Continuing to use Vowd after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Toronto, Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any forum to protect the Service.
